Yard House Mission Valley Starts off the New Year with Tap Takeovers!
The Westfield Mission Valley Mall Yard House location is kicking off the new year with a monthly Tap Takeover Series featuring San Diego-based breweries. Escondido’s Stone Brewing will launch the series when five of its limited-release beers are tapped on January 10. Guests can visit yardhouse.com/taptakover for a listing of participating brewers and their featured Tap Takeover Series beers.
“San Diego has a fantastic craft beer scene,” said Gregory Howard, director of Beverage Strategy for Yard House. “As a complement to our Chalkboard Series, which features frequently rotating small batch and seasonal beers, we wanted to spotlight some of our local San Diego brewers each month. Stone Brewing is set to launch our Tap Takeover Series next week.”
Each month Yard House will reserve five of its 130 tap handles for a local brewer tapping some new, unique and limited-release beers. Offerings are limited and available while supplies last. The inaugural Tap Takeover will feature the following offerings from Stone Brewing:
· Stone Depth-Charged Double Bastard, an American strong ale with espresso-roasted coffee beans
· Stone Mixed Tape Vol. 15 Brett the Rockies, a blend of Foudre-aged Brett Beers and Ruination Double IPA 2.0
· Stone 12th Anniversary, a rich and silky bitter chocolate oatmeal stout
· Stone Reason Be Damned, a Belgian-style Abbey Ale aged in red wine barrels
· Stone Blackberry Saison, ale brewed with spices and blackberries aged in wine barrels.

Each month Yard House will update information at yardhouse.com/taptakeover allowing guests to preview the beers tapping in for the current and following month. While each brewery will offer five unique beers on their featured month, supplies are limited. Yard House will continue to complement its monthly Tap Takeover with its rotating Chalkboard Series, featuring six additional unique beers monthly from different breweries around the world. Yard House, which kicks-off its monthly Tap Takeover Series on January 10, is located at Westfield Mission Valley Mall in San Diego County.
