The #SDBW Guild Fest Just Keeps Getting Better!
We previously mentioned that Guild Fest put on by San Diego Brewers Guild is one of our favorite beer festivals, and attending the 2018 Guild Fest cemented our opinion. The new location, Embarcadero Marina Park South, was an amazing site to host this epic San Diego Beer Week kick off party. Drinking beer on the bay as you watch sailboats float by really makes you appreciate living in America’s finest city. The sun was shinin’, the music was pumpin’ and the beers were flowin’.
We’ve been to our fair share of beer festivals and one of the reasons we love Guild Fest is because it’s always so well organized. Enter the festival and you’re greeted with a map displaying each brewery’s location. Orange County, Northern California and Baja Breweries were assembled with one another in larger booths. The new location provided plenty of room for all breweries to fit comfortably and for attendees to make their way through this brewery heaven.
Another thing that sets Guild Fest apart is the lines, there were rarely any lines! We did not wait in line for more than 2 minutes. When you’re racing to try as many delicious beers as possible the short lines, or lack thereof, are appreciated.
Let’s talk beer.
There were over 60+ breweries in attendance, many of them offered more than 2 beer options. We didn’t make it to every booth but out of the many breweries we stopped at, these are the beers that stood out:
- Hazy Daisy IPA – Dos Desperados Brewery : New England style IPA with Nelson and Mosaic hops.
- Tepache – 2Kids Brewing : American Gose with Pineapple and Habanero: sour and refreshing, with bright pineapple flavor and mellow heat.
- Dry-hopped Starfruit Radler – Home Brewing Co. : Collab with Chuckalek independent brewers
- Blend-o-Matic – Second Chance Beer Co. : A collaboration beer with AleSmith Brewing Company. This beer is actually 2 different beers, a hazy and brut IPA mixed together.
- MF/BF Hibiscus Lime – The Good Beer Company : Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer.
- Guavacito – North Park Beer Co. : Kettle sour with a hefty dose of Mosaic hops and pink guava flavor.
- Du Hast – Burning Beard Brewing : A Munich Dunkel , malty dunkel with chocolate and coffee undertones.
- Immoderation – Moksa Brewing Co. : Imperial stout with vanilla beans, coffee, coconut, maple syrup. 17%.
- The Mango Beer – Novo Brazil Brewing : Smooth IPA with big mango flavor.

The only step to consider levitra 20mg price is that of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT).
The dj’s and musicians kept the party going with funky tunes that blasted throughout the entire grounds. There was plenty of room to dance, play corn hole and simply sit by the bay soaking the sun. All in all, we’re still in agreement that Guild Fest is still one of our favorite beer festivals. Cheers to another amazing year of Guild Fest and another successful start to San Diego Beer Week. Is it 2019 yet?
