SD Brewers Guild Launches SDBeer.com

The San Diego Brewers Guild (SDBG), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting San Diego’s craft breweries and beer-related industries, is pleased to announce the official launch of SDbeer.com. The new website is intended to serve as a central hub for consumers — as well as for those within the craft beer industry — to find information pertaining to San Diego’s world class craft beer community. The website will also be instrumental in assisting out-of-town visitors with planning their beer-centric visits. Over the years, San Diego’s craft community has grown into a huge tourism draw, with many visitors exploring the region’s rich craft beer culture annually.

“We are really excited to have a central platform for all things beer that will be impactful to not only our members but to beer enthusiasts all over the globe,” says San Diego Brewers Guild president Jill Davidson.
The new website, with its intuitive and easy to find domain name, streams craft beer content for a general audience, as well as provides a dynamic and interactive brewery and allied member map, which the Guild has long been known for. Its member map has been a resource for both locals and visitors alike since the first printed edition in 1999. SDbeer.com is an extension of that map, offering information on the newest and most up-to-date events around San Diego County. Events can easily be filtered by type and location, tailoring the experience specifically to each user. The site will also allow visitors to sign up for the exclusive San Diego Brewers Guild eblast, which is sent out weekly and includes the highlights of the week’s happenings.
The original website layout was designed by Ben Liddi and developed by Motionstrand, a full-service digital agency located in Escondido, California. The site’s content is supported by Betterpress, a collaborative publishing site that works in tandem with the San Diego Brewers Guild. The project was spearheaded by Todd Colburn, owner of consulting firm Higher Gravity Brand Advocates, who sits on the Guild’s Board of Directors. He saw the opportunity to create a general website to support the Guild’s members and drive awareness to their establishments.

SDBeer.com was developed to be the information hub for craft events in San Diego.  SDBeer.com will also introduce craft enthusiasts, craft ‘newbies’ and tourists to breweries, venues and events that they may not yet be familiar with,” says Todd Colburn, a member of the San Diego Brewers Guild Board of Directors. “Content from the new site will also be promoted to craft fans via social media and eNewsletters.”

SDbeer.com will also serve as the San Diego Brewers Guild’s official website, including information on Guild members, leadership and their bookend annual events: San Diego Rhythm & Brews and San Diego Beer Week
We look forward to using this website and couldn’t be more excited to able to see all the craft beer events in San Diego in one place! ( We wish we had thought of it ourselves 😉 )
