Holiday Beer Infused Cranberry Sauce
Tis’ the season for the age-old debate of fresh cranberry sauce or the “canned stuff”. We might just have found the special ingredient to help win over your canned cranberry loving friends and family this Holiday season…BEER! We aren’t the only ones who think so either, our friends at Rad Craft have a version of their own sauce that they shared with us to share with you guys along with our own. We made our recipe with cranberry, orange, & a Double IPA! Rad Craft added a blueberry twist to their recipe and used a Saison!
The Beer
In our recipe, we used ORNG Double IPA by Wild Leap Brew Co. to pair nicely with the cranberries. The citrus-forward hops from the beer help bring out the orange flavor even more in the recipe.
Rad Craft used the Lone Tree Brewing Company’s Cranberry Saison in their Beer Cranberry Sauce w/ Blueberries recipe below. That said, any kind of medium-bodied Saison or wheat-based beer would be perfect! 1623 Brewing Hefeweizen, Elevation Beer Co. Raspberry Gulch, or Strange Craft Le Brut du Diable Farmhouse would all be great.
Whichever sauce you go with will be sure to help you win over your family and friends. Added bonus is that you will certainly be the talk of your Holiday Dinner!
