New Belgium Brewing’s Tour de Fat 2017 Schedule
Guess what is back for the 18th season? Tour de Fat! That’s right everyone, New Belgium Brewing’s Fat Tire presents the Tour de Fat 2017, is back and is in more cities with bigger acts. This year Tour de Fat will bring its party to 33 cities nationwide. The party will start in North Carolina and wrap up in Arizona. In case you don’t know, here is the rundown on Tour de Fat: it is a traveling philanthropic beer, music, and bike festival that raises funds for nonprofit organizations. As a matter of fact, this year, Tour de Fat’s goal is to exceed the $5 million mark for funds raised since it began in 2000. In 2017 alone, Tour de Fat is projecting to raise more than $600,000 to support local causes.
“This is one of the greatest ways we can give back to local communities,” said Brand Manager, Sam Sawyer. “Not only do folks get a great event with top musical acts and plenty of spectacle, local non-profits get a cash injection and the opportunity to share their message. It’s like a win-win-and win-again scenario. This is without a doubt some of the most fun we have all year.”
The 2017 Tour de Fat will host numerous musical headliners including some of our favorite bands: The Roots, Third Eye Blind, The All-American Rejects, The Naked and Famous, Michael Franti & Spearhead, X-Ambassadors, and more. Click here to check out which band will be in your city. In addition to the live jams, Tour de Fat will present a full touring ensemble of artists, cirque performers, and local street performers. Because many of the cities do not possess the infrastructure and due to the event being later in the day, this year, bike parade permits were only granted in Fort Collins, Tempe, and Boise. But don’t panic, they’re working on more cities for next year. Check out the 2017 Tour de Fat schedule below.
Tickets
Tour de Fat ticket prices vary by city and are available for purchase in advance here. All shows are general admission seating. Tickets range from $15.00 – $25.00 based on the acts and venue. Side note: the $25.00 tickets will shift to $30.00 two weeks prior to the show.
