A passionate lover of social media & all things craft beer. One of the great things about craft beer is that there really is something for everyone. You may think you don't like a certain style of beer but she would encourage you to try anything once. You may just find that someone brews that style you thought you didn't like in a way that appeals to you. Often times the flavors you get out of a beer are as unique as you are! When she's not creating content for social media or drinking great beers, you'll most likely find her hanging out with her amazing dogs or off searching for her next adventure.

Monique Appel GUEST CONTENT WRITER

This San Diego State alumni has spent her life flip flopping between Los Angeles and America’s Finest City. Obtaining her bachelors in Communication, Monique has dedicated her career to connecting with people from all walks of life. This former hip-hop dj can be found enjoying live music at a number of local venues, The Casbah and North Park’s Observatory being among her favorites. Equally enjoyable is a night in whipping out new recipes, watching the planes fly in from her balcony and catching up on the latest Netflix series. Her ideal adventures involve hiking, camping and traveling. It’s been said that she can survive solely off of cheese and beer, her favorite being any variation of IPA. She hopes to become acquainted with the many fascinating people involved in the beer industry.

William is a lover of all aspects of Craft Beer. Everything from drinking beer to learning about the brewers and their process. Upon diving into the beer scene he realized that brewing is truly an art form and it's the intricacies that vary from brewer to brewer which make craft beer even more fascinating. If you don't see him sitting at a brewery messing around with a camera, you will most likely find him spending time with his dogs, watching ridiculous amounts of TV or out exploring and experiencing whatever the day brings.

Averee Davis SENIOR SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING SPECIALIST

After spending years in the operations and event side of the hospitality world, Averee helped start and curate a hospitality management program at a local college in Chattanooga, TN. She also played a part in opening restaurants, a hotel, and a brewery, and has since relocated to Colorado where her husband is stationed. She has found herself affectionately named BB Brewer (AKA mash tun cleaner) at a newly opened brewery in Colorado Springs, before moving on to work as the Event & Media Marketing Director at Goat Patch Brewing Co. After spending summers in Yakima Valley in her home state of Washington, she has cultivated a love of IPA’s and is developing a taste for anything sour. You can find her in a brewery, on an adventure with her dog Finn, tending to her urban jungle of a home, or exploring a local vintage store.

Aryelle Perez GUEST CONTENT WRITER

Aryelle Perez was born and raised in NYC, once it was time for college she moved to the south and never went back. As long as she could remember she has had a camera in her hand, she realized that she would be able to turn her passion, photography, into a career. It wasn’t until she took the elective Intro to Advertising that she realized she wanted to explore the world of marketing and advertising. This realization is what sparked her to finish her time at Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A in Photography, but with a minor in Advertising and Advertising Photography as well. She can always be seen with a coffee in her hand, ideas in her head, and a smile on her face.

Karla Makholm is a Boston transplant living in San Diego. When she is not in the kitchen baking or cooking with beer, you can find her at a local coffee shop or craft brewery with a tasty drink in hand working on one of two startups. As a craft beer brewer and connoisseur, coffee lover, and baker/chef, she is always finding inspiration for her newest project. She also loves taking her dog to the beach, backpacking in the Sierras, and setting aside some quiet time for yoga, food photography, and a good book.
