Little Man Teamed Up with Denver Beer Co & Cerveceria Colorado for a Delicious Pairing!

This past weekend, Denver favorite Little Man Ice Cream teamed up with yet another popular local watering hole and their newly launched extension, Denver Beer Company and Cerveceria Colorado (respectively) to host an unforgettable beer + ice cream pairing. Five delicious beers were thoughtfully paired with five uniquely-made ice cream flavors. Needless to say, the result made our taste-buds dance in joy! Pairing #1:

The Beer: Denver Beer Company’s Japance Off (Sake Yeast Saison)

The Beer: Denver Beer Company’s Pretzel Assassin
The Ice Cream: Salted Malted Wort Ice Cream
Our Thoughts: The ice cream in this particular pairing blew us away. It was scrumptious! When pairing it with one of Denver Beer Company’s staples, it brought out the flavoring in each other. The malt in the ice cream brought out the malt profile of the Pretzel Assassin, creating the perfect compliment.

Pairing #4:

The Beer: Cerveceria Colorado’s Poblano Pilsner
The Ice Cream: Smokey Cilantro Cayenne Ice Cream
Our Thoughts: This pairing between the Poblano Pilsner and Smokey Cilantro Cayenne Ice Cream was quite flavorful. We never expected to taste cilantro in ice cream, but Little Man did a good job with it. The cilantro and ice cream itself balanced out the spice and heat from the Poblano in the pilsner. It was the perfect balance between bringing the heat in the beer, and cooling it down with the ice cream.

Pairing #5:

The Beer: Cerveceria Colorado’s Churro Stout
The Ice Cream: Cinnamon Ginger Ice Cream with a Caramel Swirl
Our Thoughts: Who doesn’t love churros? The stout tasted exactly like a churro, but in liquid form. The sweet, caramel flavor and cinnamon notes in the ice cream only enhanced the cinnamon flavor in the beer. It was easily one of our favorites of the pairing and it left us wanting more! The stout itself also wasn’t extremely heavy. It was easily drinkable as we enjoyed it out on their semi-sunny, semi-shaded patio.

Overall, we enjoyed the pairings created by Denver Beer Company, Cerveceria Colorado, and Little Man! It was not only delicious, but had a perfect range of tastings for all palates. We would have to say that we wished we had more of Berry Proud and Strawberry Grapefruit sorbet, or Churro Stout and Cinnamon Ginger Ice Cream with a Caramel Swirl – but each taster we had perfectly compliments one another. Not to mention, it was also the perfect, sunny summer day to enjoy some ice cream and cold beers!
