Guild Fest 2016: A Perfect Start to SDBW!

Congratulations to the San Diego Brewers Guild for another successful Guild Fest! The two day festival was the perfect start to San Diego Beer Week and every craft beer enthusiast that was able to attend would agree.

The VIP Brewer Takeover was held inside the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier on Friday November 4th from 6pm-9pm. This more intimate affair gave people the chance to talk directly with the brewers from each of the breweries in attendance. The ticket was slightly more expensive than the Saturday session but definitely worth the extra cost. You received a really nice tasting glass and some great food samples along with your unlimited beer samples.

On Saturday November 5th the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier was consumed by pop up tents, thousands of kegs filled with a variety of delicious craft beer, craft beer nerds and food trucks. It was another gorgeous day in San Diego with perfect 75 degree weather and clear skies. It also did not hurt having the view of the bay with boats crawling along made it an even more stunning experience. There were over 100 breweries pouring some of their most popular beers! Although trying every beer was not obtainable, most people gave it their best shot. We met a lot of amazing people and had so much fun getting to taste a bunch of delicious beers! We are looking forward to the rest of San Diego Beer Week and are counting down the days until next year’s Guild Fest!
