Giving Thanks Over Our Favorite Beers!

We thought it would be fun to grab one of our favorite beers and take the time to share what we are most thankful for this year.

There are many reasons to be thankful each and every day, not just on Thanksgiving. What I’m most thankful for this year include: my family, staying healthy, the friendships that I’ve gained and maintained, all the opportunities that have knocked on my door & I was able to take. And of course, I’m thankful for good beer like the Oskar Blues Passion Fruit Pinner Throwback IPA!

I love Thanksgiving because it is a reminder to reflect each year on what we are most thankful for. This year, I have realized more than ever, that I am thankful for the people in my life. My family and friends who are there to support me and challenge me through every part of life. I wouldn’t be who I am and where I am today without them! I chose Belching Beaver Imperial Horchata Stout as my beer to thankful for because it is as unique and special as the people in my life!

As cliché as it may be, I’m most thankful for the amazing people in my life who lift up and inspire me every day. My parents give me courage to pursue my dreams and I’m so grateful for their unwavering support. I’m grateful for my friends and siblings, who add laughter and spontaneity to my life, and my boyfriend Dennis who serves as my companion, my rock, and my best friend. Without these people I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I’m grateful for my dog Java, who serves as a daily reminder of what’s really important in life. I’m also particularly grateful this year for having the strength to pursue my passions, even when it wasn’t the easiest or most lucrative road. I’m also grateful for coffee, shared meals, the great outdoors, comfort food, and of course delicious beer like the Duck Foot Brewing ChocoNut Lust Porter!

Besides the amazing and delicious Peanut Butter Cup Porter from Karl Strauss, I am thankful for many things this year. This year has been a first to show my creativity behind the lens of a camera and I am thankful for the Hoplight Social team whom have been there to support me along the way. I am also thankful for my health, my family, my dogs, friends, co-workers and of course my girlfriend. I am grateful to be surrounded by all the love and looking forward to many more great things to come including good beer!

This past year has definitely afforded me the opportunity to meet amazing people and grow exponentially as a person. I am thankful for my AMAZING team at Hoplight Social and all of the work they do that helps make my dream of being an entrepreneur a reality. Watching them grow and develop while sharing their passions is one of the biggest highlights of my days. Teamwork really does make the dream work. Thank you to everyone who has opened up and shared their stories with my team, we are so inspired by all that you do and appreciate you trusting us to share your stories. I especially appreciate all the hand written notes from Anna at Rogue Brewing Company and the fact that they make this delicious Cold Brew IPA that blends two of my passions perfectly, hello coffee and beer! I appreciate not only all the people who love, support, & believe in me, but also those who don’t. I have found that those who are your biggest critics or doubters are your biggest opportunities for continued growth. On a personal note, I am thankful for my three amazing dogs, William, and my incredible friends that I’ve made these past few years. Last but certainly not least, I am grateful for amazing craft beer and that one of my former Apple co-workers challenged me all those years ago to try craft beer to begin with. I didn’t know it at the time, but it was the start to an amazing journey that would lead me to amazing places alongside some incredible people.
