Getting To Know Something Brewery
After visiting Something Brewery a few weeks back for their cereal beer crowler release, we wanted to learn more about their story. The Brighton local prides themselves as an uncommon and creative brewery with one main goal: to produce the most creative and inspiring beers for the most unique of individuals. It’s safe to say that they’re accomplishing that goal. We sat down with David, a co-owner, to learn more about Something Brewery!
The Short Back Story
Something brewery is truly a labor of love. David along with co-owners, Brian and Dustin, each poured their hearts into planning and opening the brewery. After scouting out several locations (some did not pan out as planned) they ended up finding their space in Brighton and have been growing with the community ever since.
As for the name, David, who was previously a bartender at the time, noticed a trend in guests starting their orders with “something” – something light, something hoppy, something dark. He then took that concept and the idea for the name was adopted. Since then, the brewery became a place where patrons can be inquisitive and enjoy unique beers.
On The Horizon For Something Brewery
David was excited to talk about how they’ll be able to expand into a larger brewing space in the downstairs area of their current location. With the larger space, it will allow them to brew a larger variety of beer and experiment with different flavors. They’ll also be able to revisit and brew fan favorites.
Today, they’re releasing their “Never Ending Summer” series – complete with slushie and smoothie styled beers. Their 3 pack will include a Strawberry Limeade Slush Sour, Cherry Limeade Slush Sour, and Triple Threat, which is a triple berry smoothie sour made with blackberries, boysenberry, and raspberry. Like their cereal beer series release, there are only 250 crowlers of each flavor available! The three-pack release was just released at 3 PM today. Be sure to swing by and grab yours before they’re all gone!
Dream Collaboration
David talked about how he would love the opportunity to brew a collaboration beer with Right Brain Brewery, who is based out of Michigan. David’s inspired by how much they are able to push boundaries and brew such unique beers!
Why We Love Something Brewery
There’s no arguing that Something’s beer speaks for itself. Their rotating taps allow for guests to try new beers often, and their special crowler releases sell out quickly! We honestly just can’t get enough of them!
