Get into the Holiday Spirit with These Upcoming SD Events!
Here at Hoplight Social, we truly love the holidays. It gives us a chance to get together and celebrate while enjoying all the yummy holiday beer! We thought we would share with you some fun holiday events being put on by different breweries here in San Diego that we are especially excited about this December:
1. Barn Ugly Sweater Party at Barn Brewing on December 13th @ 7pm
Barn Brewing will be holding an ugly sweater contest including trivia, dinner, and of course beer! They will also be having a white elephant gift exchange for anyone who would like to participate with gifts up to $15! Best gift wins an award!
2. Let’s Get Elfed Up with Duck Foot Brewing on December 15th from 12pm-10pm
Time to get Elfed Up for charity! Bring in cans for the San Diego Food Bank and you’ll receive $1 off a full pour of any of their core beers! Help them help those in need and they’ll help your need for tasty beer. They will also be releasing their Seasonal Irish Stout and Small Batch Mochanut Lust Porter with Peppermint, with eats provided by Eat Your Heart Out.
3. Holiday Beer and Dessert Pairing with Kilowatt Brewing on December 16th @ 5pm
Join Kilowatt Brewing and Abu’s Kitchen for a special paired beer & dessert flight that will be available for purchase. No advance tickets required! Abu’s Kitchen will also be serving their full dinner menu, so make a night of it!
4. Ugly Christmas Sweater Pint Night at Woodstock’s Pizza in Pacific Beach on December 16th @ 7pm
To get the holiday spirit, all pints of winter themed beers will be available for only $3 and Woodstock’s Pizza will be offering White Elephant gifts for those who show up in their favorite ugly Christmas sweaters! Tis’ the season to rock ugly Christmas sweaters, drink winter beers, and spread the joy of hops and cheese so grab your friends and family, and head on over to Woodstock’s Pizza!

Food, Fun, Festivities, FUNdraiser! Come join other San Diego Yogis to celebrate the season; Yule Tide, Lohri, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, peace on earth and each other. This is an off-the-mat event. That is to say, it’s a party and not an asana practice!
Proceeds benefit for Connected Warriors, a non-profit, that provides “yoga therapy programs for Service members, Veterans and their Families.” Admission is free, but they’re accepting donations at the door and raffling lots of yogi-lovin’ prizes. There will be live music, delicious libations, Organic Food Truck, merriment, and more! 6. Cookie Decorating Party at Belching Beaver Brewery on December 20th @ 5pm
Stop by Belching Beaver on Tuesday 12/20 to decorate some Christmas cookies. Cookies and supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own cookies to share! Get there early, while supplies last. Event will be held in the beer garden!
7. Barrel Republic spreads holiday cheer with specialty holiday beer all December long!
The best way to spread holiday cheer, is through beer! Barrel Republic, the iconic bar that gives you the freedom to be your own bartender by pouring your own beer is bringing you more to be merry about. With locations in Pacific Beach, Oceanside and Carlsbad, Barrel Republic has added a number of beers on tap targeted for the holiday season for you to have a hoppy, jolly good time.
