Fort Collins has always been a craft beer drinker’s paradise. With over 20 breweries currently in the city limits, including New Belgium, one of the nation’s largest breweries, there are plenty of options when it comes to delicious beer. If you find yourself in what’s fondly known as the Napa Valley of Beer, stop by a few awesome breweries we visited on our recent DIY beer tour!

STOP ONE: Zwei Brewing CompanyFort Collins

We recommend: Zwei Pils, Willy Nelson IPA, Golden Hammer Belgian Golden Strong Ale

Why it made the list: Zwei has an awesome feel of a neighborhood watering hole mixed with a German Biergarten. They feature an extensive list of German-style beers mixed in with unique takes on American classics. The indoor Taproom flows perfectly into the beautiful patio area where you can enjoy a nice afternoon with a cold beer. They have food trucks, growlers, and they are also dog-friendly.

STOP TWO: New Belgium Brewing Company

We recommend: Citradelic: Tangerine IPA, Trippel, Stage Rock Colorado Ale

Why it made the list: From their humble beginnings in a tiny basement in 1991, New Belgium is now worldwide. As the third-largest brewery in the United States, it is really neat to see and experience how the brand has thrived in their hometown facility. They have daily food trucks, offer extensive tours, and boast awesome special releases as well as tried and true classics in their Taproom.

STOP THREE: Odell Brewing Company Fort Collins

Address: 800 East Lincoln Avenue, Fort Collins, CO

We recommend: Rupture Fresh Grind Ale, IPA, Colorado Lager

Why it made the list: Odell is just a short drive away from Downtown and is one of the largest breweries in the city. They have a daily food truck, an outdoor stage, and a huge patio area for you to enjoy a cold pint with your furry drinking buddy. Daily tours are also available and they offer pre-determined flights so you can try the beers that make them unique.

They offer sandwiches, small plates, and a delicious cheese board as well as non-alcoholic sodas.
