STOP ONE: River Rat Brewery

We recommend their: Astronaut Sauce, My Morning Stout, Honey Biscuit Ale and any Gose.
Why it made the list: This brewery made the list as it was our very first stop in Columbia, SC! There is an awesome open space outside that is dog-friendly. You can also take the stairs through the silo to an upper deck area to enjoy drinks. The upper deck has misters for those hot summer days/nights and an amazing view!

STOP TWO: Twisted Spur Brewing
Address: 705 Gervais Street Columbia, SC 29201
We recommend their: Mary’s Little Lambic, Lemon Pils, Sexi Mexi, Dead Head Red, and any of their rotating Gose.
Why it made the list: This brewery came recommended by people we met at River Rat. We saw a good variety of beers on tap so we decided to check it out. We enjoyed everything, but especially enjoyed the rotating Gose on tap as it was super refreshing for a warm evening, so much so we took some home with us! They also have an old Vault they turned into a storage room to store their grain! This spot also had food options for people to enjoy!

STOP THREE: Columbia Craft Brewing Company

We recommend their: Tradicional Mexican-Style Lager, Oslo Norwegian Style DDH Double IPA, Hop to Trot DDH Cryo New England Style IPA, Carolinian Blonde Ale
Why it made the list: This stop was a recommendation from locals in town and it didn’t disappoint. They have a good variety of beers on tap including some styles we have never seen before. There is also an outdoor patio to hang out on if you would like to enjoy the sunshine.

STOP FOUR: Steel Hands Brewing
Address: 2350 Foreman Street Cayce, SC 29033
We recommend their: Coffee Lager, Lime Golden Ale, Coconut Sout,
Why it made the list: This is located on the outskirt of town in Cayce, but was highly recommended by locals. They have plenty of room outside and inside for people to enjoy their beers. There is a deck outside along with corn hole and a stage. Inside, there are small tables and longer large tables for people to enjoy a communal style environment. There is also a kitchen if you get hungry!
