William and I decided to make the move from San Diego, CA to Atlanta, GA. Naturally, as we drove across the country we checked out the local beer spots along the way. With summer just around the corner, it is the perfect time to start planning your epic road trip! We hope you enjoy drinking your way cross country and experiencing the different beer scenes along the way! We certainly did!

Phoenix, AZ

Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co.

Address: 721 N Arizona Ave #103, Gilbert, AZ 85233

Beers Worth Trying: Any on the menu. This brewery doesn’t have a core lineup of beers so chances are by the time you visit, they won’t be offering the same beers that we got our hands on. The good news is that every single beer that we have had from them has been amazing so you really can’t go wrong.

Why We Loved It: This place was a lot bigger than we expected and is more like a brewpub vibe. On top of having solid beers, the food was just as solid. We had their poutine fries & some green chili sliders. Paired with the beers, we felt like we were in heaven. You can learn more about them HERE.

The Perch Brewing

Address: 232 S Wall St, Chandler, AZ 85225

Beers Worth Trying: The Perch Belgian Peach was by far our favorite! This 8% ABV beer is dangerously smooth and delicious! We just had to take a crowler with us to go!

Why We Loved It: We loved seeing all the birds that they have rescued and now live in their tasting room! Most of the tasting room is outdoors, which allows you to enjoy the desert weather! On top of being one of the cooler tasting rooms that we have ever visited, the beers were all solid too. This is definitely a place we will visit again next time we find ourselves in town. You can learn more about them HERE.

Red Door Brewing Co

Address1001 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107

Beers Worth Trying: Vanilla Cream Ale & Unhinged Cider. Their vanilla cream ale was one of the better versions of this style of beer that we have had. Locals recommend Red Door Brewing for their cider. They will do different versions of it throughout the year. It was definitely a delicious cider, and we can see why the locals recommended it.

Why We Loved It: We first discovered this brewery because they started following us on our social media. Naturally, after months of seeing photos of the delicious beers they were producing we had to stop to try them for ourselves.
