Craft Brews You Should Have at Your Summer Wedding or Event
Summer’s undoubtedly a great time for weddings, family gatherings, and various other events. With that being said, as the craft beer community is growing, having a selection of craft brews available for guests may be something to look into for this summer season.
Have something for those who enjoy a light & easy sipper:
Pilsners such as New Belgium’s Blue Paddle or Lagunitas’ Pils will surely be enjoyed by almost everyone with a low alcohol content and not being too bitter. They’re light and refreshing, making it easy to sip on in the summer season.
Lagers such as Ballast Point’s Longfin or Kona Brewing’s Longboard are similar to pilsners, being mostly low in alcohol content, as well as being crisp and refreshing.
And something for those who enjoy a hoppier or fruity beer:
IPAs such as Stone Brewing Co.’s Delicious IPA or Coronado Brewing’s Islander IPA are a perfect fit for those who enjoy hoppy beers. They’re both hop-forward while being well-balanced with a dry finish. They tend to be a little higher in alcohol content, which is an added bonus for some. IPAs are definitely refreshing on a hot summer day.
Double IPAs take it to the next level for hop lovers. IIPAs such as Hangar 24’s Iconic Double IPA and Bear Republic Brewing Co.’s Racer X Double IPA will make a hop-loving crowd’s tastebuds dance. They may be hoppy and bitter, but their clean finishes and refreshing crispness are great on a hot summer day.
And something for those who enjoy a darker beer:
Stouts such as Rogue’s Chocolate Stout or Deschutes’ Obsidian Stout would be enjoyed by individuals who like a darker beer. These beers are a little sweeter with a hint of coffee. They’re also a great pairing for the dessert table, especially if there’s cake involved!
Porters, also a darker, maltier beer, would be great when paired with desserts and enjoyed by those who like a darker beer. Porters such as Founders Brewing’s Founders Porter or Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter would be great choices to have.
