June Beer Workshops and Activities in San Diego
Beer goes well with…anything! We believe craft beer makes any activity better. San Diego is taking this memo and running with it. Workshops and activities of all sorts are popping up all over town. While the central activity might not be beer related, throwing in a beer and hanging out with friends at a brewery definitely takes it up a notch. We threw together a list of fun workshops and activities going on in San Diego for you to check out throughout the month of June.

Thursday, June 8th | Soap Making Demo @ North Park Beer Co
This beer themed soap making workshop will definitely teach you a thing about the art that is soap making. The artisan soap bars that are becoming increasingly popular are actually pretty easy to make with the right instruction and Mary Piper from Bush Baby Soap provides the right instruction. Saturday, June 10th | Beer + Beards @ 32 North Brewing
32 North Brewing will be the gracious hosts of Beer + Beards. Create a custom beard cologne balm and learn about the connection between scent and attraction. Let’s put it this way, a good smelling beard is always better. Each student will be taught how to make their own balm and how to blend oils to create their own personalized scent. Saturday, June 17th | Mug Club Glass Painting Class @ Kilowatt Brewing Ocean Beach
Kilowatt Brewing is putting their own spin on wine paint nights. Visit their Ocean Beach location and paint a 20oz mug with instruction from local artist Azul Gutierrez. Ticket prices include: painting instruction, painting supplies, a full pour, and your finished mug! You also have the option to join Kilowatt’s Mug Club. Envious of those with a natural green thumb? San Diego Brewing Company is hosting an event to help you with your plant troubles. Succulents are plants that look beautiful and are easy to maintain. Sunday, June 25th | Macrame Workshop @ Second Chance Beer Company
It seems as though every chic apartment nowadays has some type of macrame art piece beautifully displayed for all to drool over. Monday June 5th | Suds & Science @ Wavelength Brewing Company
The state of our country has many people worrying about what will become of America. Do not worry, Dr. Olivia Graeve from UCSD will be answering any Mars colonization questions you may have. Every Saturday morning Take Flight Yoga takes over Karl Strauss’ Tasting room in Pacific Beach. An hour of meditation, yoga and poses ending in oil essential oil svasana. This class is perfect for beginners looking for a yoga experience outside of a studio, or a seasoned yogi looking for a change of scenery.
