Beer To The Rescue – 2nd Edition 
In case you missed out on last week’s Beer To The Rescue edition, May is Lupus Awareness Month. Many local breweries have teamed up with Beer To The Rescue to help initiate campaigns to increase awareness while enjoying a beer. The month of May will be hosting over 40 events dedicated Lupus awareness campaigns. Every week this month we will feature the events taking place for the upcoming week. Below is your Beer To The Rescue – 2nd Edition (May 8th – 14th) guide to local breweries events in honor of Lupus Awareness Month. Let’s continue to enjoy our beer and help spread awareness and love for those suffering with Lupus.
Monday, May 8th: Barrel Harbor Brewing
Barrel Harbor Brewing in Vista will be hosting a tasting room with raffle tickets in exchange for each pint of beer between 5-8 p.m. At the event, 25% of all proceeds will go to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Tuesday, May 9th & EVERY Tuesday in May: Societe Brewing Company
Societe Brewing Company will be hosting events to bring awareness to Lupus. At the tasting room in Kearny Mesa, 10% of sales between 12-9pm on those days will go to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Wednesday, May 10th: Urge American Gastropub
Urge American Gastropub in Rancho Bernardo will host an event between 11:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. For every purchase of their specialist beer brewed, $1 from each pint will go to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Thursday, May 11th: North Park Beer Co.
North Park Beer Co. will campaign for donations to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California. If you join them between 3-10 p.m., a percentage of proceeds from sales to be donated to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Friday, May 12th: Kilowatt Brewing
Join Kilowatt Brewing at their Kearny Mesa tasting room between 5-10:30 p.m. for a Hoppy Saison brew. For each of that brew sold, 75% of all profits will go to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
Saturday, May 13th: Second Chance Beer Company
Between 12–10 p.m., Second Chance Beer Company will debut a “dank and sticky” extra pale ale. This beer will be specially brewed for this event. For each of these beers sold, $1 dollar will go to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.

Sunday, May 14th: Amplified Ale Works
Amplified Ale Works will be hosting events at both their Pacific Beach and Miramar locations between 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Both venues will feature a tropical-flavored IPA brewed especially for this event. Amplified Ale Works will donate $1 of all sales from each pint to the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.
