Our 4th of July Beer Picks
4th of July is just around the corner and we decided it would be fun if we each picked out our go to American made beer to celebrate!
Kristina’s Pick- Rogue American Amber Ale- 5.3% ALC
“Dare. Risk. Dream.” That’s the motto Rogue lives by and what could be more American than that? They definitely did America proud with this amazing amber that is light and refreshing with a robust flavor profile. This beer is definitely my go to for the holiday because it will pair nicely with all my favorite BBQ food without being too heavy on a hot summer day! I just can’t get enough of this beer!
“It’s one of the ways Rogue shows our patriotic pride,” said Rogue Ales President Brett Joyce. “It celebrates the revolutionary ideals of growing your own and doing it yourself, so naturally we use Rogue Farms Rebel hops along with Dare and Risk barley to craft this truly American amber.”
Karla’s Pick- Oskar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale- 6.5% ALC
On the Fourth, I want to start off with something that won’t blast my taste buds and ruin my palate for the rest of the day. Dale’s Pale Ale delivers that refreshing hop aroma and taste, while having a smooth malty backbone to balance it out so it’s perfect for sipping throughout the day. It’s also got that red, while and blue color scheme going on, so it’s festive, too! Pair this flavorful brew with just about any July 4th fare, like burgers and chips. Since cans are easier to travel with, and protect your beer much better from the light, it’s just asking to be taken outdoors.

The New Belgium Heavy Melon Watermelon Lime beer should certainly be on your list for delicious beers this summer! The watermelon and lime are present with a bit of maltiness that creates a light medium body. William’s Pick- Goose Island Four Star Pils
After reading the above, are you still questioning what to get? If so, my recommendation would be to check out the refreshing Four Star Pils by Goose Island. This german style pilsner is golden in color and easily drinkable. It has a combination of german and american hops and gives off a hint of floral notes. This beer is ideal if you are next to a BBQ, out on the water, or really anywhere the sun is shining. If you are in the mood for something light, refreshing and crisp then this beer may be for you. It also doesn’t hurt that the bottles and cans are Red, White and Blue!
