21st Annual Festival of Arts is Happening on 5/20!
One of the best parts about San Diego is all the beautiful different neighborhoods, and all that they have to offer! The 21st Annual Festival of Arts in North Park celebrates all the amazing things that help make North Park special. The event is being held on Saturday, May 20th, and this year’s event has extended hours starting at 11 a.m. through to 10 p.m.
The nine-block event will be held along University near 30th Street, which is packed full with entertainment and activities, including art, a popular array of live music and dance performances, interactive experiences, and artisan items for sale. The cherry on top is the Craft Beer Block of the festival this year.
Live Art Block
Visual Urban Contemporary Art will once again assemble San Diego’s best street artists for a one day live art demo. Artists will create unique works of art using creative everyday objects like cars, refrigerators and boom boxes. Attendees will be awe-struck by the creativity of these talented artists. Artwork available for viewing and sale will include painting, photography, pottery, live street art and jewelry.
Live Music on Six Concert Stages
From indie rock to blues, funk, DJ, dance and rock and roll; this event has it all. Six stages will be programmed for 12 hours and give music lovers a day and night of free entertainment not to be missed.
Waypoint Public Craft Beer Block
On Ohio Street, one ticket provides those 21 years+ to experience four hours of unlimited two-ounce samples from over 30 local craft brewers. Click here to purchase tickets to either the daytime (starting at 12noon to 4 p.m.) or evening (starting at 5 to 9 p.m.) session. Karaoke will also take place inside the Craft Beer Block this year for some live entertainment.
Gallery in the Street
North Park Main Street and The Studio Door are partnering together to celebrate local artists with a juried art exhibition. New this year, the Gallery in the Street will highlight regional visual artists who are creating affordable works in diverse media.
West Coast Cocktail Garden
Located on University and Herman Street, 21 years+ guests will enjoy craft cocktails. Perfectly located next to the Live Art Block, cocktail enthusiasts can sip their favorite cocktails while watching artists at work on the Live Art Block, all while listening to live music. The garden will be open from noon to 9:30 p.m. Cocktails will be provided by Cutwater Spirits.

Public parking is available along with a four-story public parking garage on 29th street. Parking will be available at a discounted rate for the day.
