Fizzics Machine Changes The Way We Experience Beer At Home
We recently had our first bottle share event at San Diego Beerworks on November 19th, 2016 and decided to bring along a Fizzics machine to test. This provided an opportune time for us, along with all of our beer loving friends to try numerous bottles and different styles of beer with the machine.
ROUND ONE | Burnside Brew Lime Kolsch poured straight from bottle vs. through Fizzics.
The Fizzics machine definitely added a very creamy head and brought out the lime flavor more.
ROUND TWO | Garage Project Cherry Bomb bottle through Fizzics vs same beer on draft.
The head on the Fizzics machine lasted a lot longer than the head on the draft version of the beer. The Fizzics machine helped make the beer creamy and smoother than its draft counterpart.
ROUND THREE | Allagash Brewing Black Belgian Stout poured straight from bottle vs. through Fizzics.
The beer on its own was a little intense, but by putting it through the Fizzics machine the beer became smoother and more drinkable.
ROUND FOUR | Kilowatt Brewing Raspberry Imperial Sour poured straight from bottle vs. through Fizzics.
The Fizzics machine made a huge difference in the creaminess and flavor of this sour.
ROUND FIVE | Eagle Rock Brew Witbier poured straight from bottle vs through Fizzics.
There was no contest in this round. The Fizzics group was the clear winner in terms of creaminess and left us wanting more.
Our biggest takeaways:
- The head the Fizzics machine creates on bottled beers reminds us more of Nitro beers more than C02 beers.
- It’s easy to clean. All you need to do is run some hot water through it.
- Battery life seems to last longer than we expected.
- It’s super portable – you can take this camping with you or even tailgating. We might not ever leave home without it now.
- Regardless of the style of beer, the Fizzics machine added to the flavor profile of the bottled beer.
